About IIT HOME

A Medical & IIT Institute in Gondia, led by Dr. Katakwar.

Why the name

IIT stands for the ambition: preparation good enough for the hardest engineering exam in the country, and for its medical counterpart, NEET.

HOME stands for the place. Students should not have to leave their families to prepare well. The flower in our name is drawn where the O would be, because home is where things grow.

What we believe

  • Routine beats motivation

Students do not need speeches. They need a week that makes sense and a teacher who checks the work.

  • Every mistake has a reason

A wrong answer is information. Finding out why it went wrong matters more than the score.

  • Parents are part of it

Families should know what is happening, without having to ask twice.

  • Honesty about results

We will show our own students' results only, with their consent, once they exist.

Gondia, on purpose

Gondia is our home town. We chose it because the students here are as capable as anywhere else, and they deserve preparation of the same standard without the cost and distance of another city.

Why IIT HOME

Because good preparation is a routine you can see. Every chapter follows the same four steps, written down so students and parents can hold us to it.

One chapter, four steps

Every chapter moves through the same four steps, so students always know what today is for and parents can see where the week stands.

  1. Learn

The concept is taught from first principles in class, with the NCERT line it rests on.

  2. Practise

Graded problem sheets, from board-level questions up to entrance-level ones.

  3. Test

A timed test in the exam's own pattern, so speed is trained alongside accuracy.

  4. Review

Every mistake is sorted: concept gap, silly slip or time pressure. Then it is fixed.

Then the next chapter begins, and the four steps repeat. Nothing is left to chance or to the last month.

What every student gets

  • Class notes

Each chapter is taught on the board and copied into a notebook, so the student owns a complete set of handwritten notes by the end of the year.

  • Problem sheets

Questions are arranged from straightforward to exam level. Nobody starts with the hardest problem, and nobody stops at the easy ones.

  • Tests in the exam's pattern

JEE students practise on screen, NEET students on OMR sheets, with the same marking scheme as the real exam.

  • Mistake review

After each test, every wrong answer is sorted as a concept gap, a careless slip or a time problem, because each needs a different fix.

  • Doubt clearing

Questions are answered by subject teachers, so a doubt from Monday does not quietly become a gap by Friday.

  • Updates for parents

Parents hear how tests are going and what the plan is, so there are no surprises at the end of the term.

Label the notebook. Start the year.
